Studio Duco was commissioned by Crista Galli Ventures, a London-based healthcare investment firm, to create a series of illustrations exploring contemporary medicine, women's health and emerging healthcare technologies.

The project brought together historical art and modern scientific ideas, using our distinctive etching-style illustration to give complex subjects an unexpected visual perspective.

Drawing inspiration from classical paintings and historical medical imagery, we reimagined familiar scenes through a contemporary lens. One illustration, inspired by Rembrandt's The Anatomy Lesson, introduces robotic technology into the traditional surgical setting, creating a visual connection between the history of medicine and its rapidly evolving future.

Created for the company's website and editorial articles, the illustrations demonstrate how historical visual references can bring character, originality and a sense of storytelling to contemporary healthcare communications.
