Studio Duco was commissioned by Penguin Random House to create the cover illustration for The Summer War, the latest fantasy novel by acclaimed author Naomi Novik.

In collaboration with cover designer Irene Ng, we crafted a richly atmospheric visual that captures the novel’s tension between beauty and brutality — a world on the brink of collapse, held in delicate balance by ancient magic and fragile alliances.
