Studio Duco was commissioned by Acne Paper to create a series of ten original illustrations for its milestone 20th issue, themed Golden. Curated by Acne Studios, the edition explores gold as a symbol of power, divinity, beauty, and cultural legacy through a multidimensional lens of fashion, art, architecture, and history.

Studio Duco’s contribution consists of a suite of ten intricately etched illustrations that echo the grandeur, symbolism, and timelessness associated with gold. Created using a hybrid process of hand-drawing and digital refinement, each artwork evokes a sense of historical richness while speaking to contemporary editorial aesthetics.

From ornate classical facades to atmospheric landscapes and spiritual structures, the illustrations reflect Duco’s signature attention to detail, line, and shadow. The golden monochrome palette, used throughout the visual identity of the issue, was integrated across the artwork to maintain a cohesive and radiant narrative presence.

This collaboration marks a significant entry in Studio Duco’s expanding portfolio of editorial and conceptual illustration, blending fine art technique with modern storytelling.
